🙄 2 years ago, I was lost in my professional career.

👩‍⚕️ Knowing it will boost my mental health, I tried therapy.

Therapy was helpful, it made me reframe my thoughts and talk about what I felt was wrong with me.

The thing is, through therapy, I realised what was causing my misery: 𝗺𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝗯.

While my job was okay, it was not what I truly wanted.

We may not want to think about it, but we spend most of our adult lives in the workplace.

💸 I used to think our jobs were just a source of money. No one is truly happy in their job. A job is just that: 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

🧠 But a job can be so much more than that. It is after all a huge part of us and our identity.

When our job does not fulfil us and our potential, a large part of our lives will feel missing, like it’s yearning for something.

That’s what happened to me.

🚶‍♀️ While therapy helped me process my feelings, I knew I had to take actual steps to achieve what I needed for my job.

👩‍🚀 Enter a career coach.

Yes, career coaching is like therapy.

📣 Both gave me insight into my problems, improved my well-being, and gave me great advice.

👩‍🏫 While therapy was for my personal life, career coaching helped me professionally.

With the guidance and support of my coach, I knew myself better.

I knew my professional dreams and what fulfilled me at work.

I knew what I had to do to achieve those dreams.

🏆 I took them and got me to where I am—a better place, a better job.

😊 The best part? I no longer feel empty and miserable.
